Air Track Repair: How to Find and Patch a Small Leak
Small leaks are common on inflatable training products, especially after outdoor use or storage with sharp objects nearby. A careful repair can extend product life and reduce downtime.
Find the leak first
Inflate the mat and listen for escaping air. If the leak is hard to hear, apply a light soap-and-water solution over seams and suspected areas. Bubbles will show where air is escaping.
Clean and dry the patch area
Deflate the product, wipe the area with clean water and let it dry fully. A patch bonds better to a clean surface with no dust, oil or moisture.
Apply the patch carefully
Cut the repair patch with rounded corners. Apply the recommended adhesive evenly, press the patch flat and remove trapped air. Follow the cure time from the repair kit before reinflating.
Test before full use
After curing, inflate the air track and leave it for a period of time. Recheck the repair area before training at full intensity.
Good training spaces balance appropriate equipment, clear landing zones, supervision and a simple setup routine.
Inflatable mats and rounded barrels can support progressive practice at home, in clubs and in schools.
